Based on the July 29 announcements from the State of Illinois and the Illinois High School Association, it is with great sadness that I have to announce Lake County Volleyball Club will not assemble teams to compete during the USA Volleyball Junior Boys season this year. So many of our players have worked very hard to reach their next level, and I am extremely sorry we can not be part of their continuing journey.
At LCVC, we have always taken pride in delivering what we promise, and right now, we can not promise anything, so we must take a hiatus. I think the worse possible scenario is if we started the season, accepted money from families, then could not finish the season.
The Great Lakes USAV Boys Season officially begins on August 30. I want to let all players and parents know our intentions today, so that those who may want to try out with another club have time to research the best option for them. LCVC may hold some open gyms for members only if it can be done safely, and may consider starting a season in November when the Wisconsin teams start up.
Nov. 3 - Energy - 18 Venom
Dec. 15 - SYNC - 18 Venom
Interested in joining the LCVC Family? We train boys from 8th-12th Grade in a competitive environment to teach boys to become better volleyball players. We have a huge success rate as one of the top regional clubs in Illinois.
